I started in commercial real estate in February of 1980 with Rental Man, Inc. in Fort Myers as an owner representative, responsible for the leasing and management of over 777,000 square feet of commercial space, consisting of storage facilities, shopping centers, flex space and several restaurants.
I hold a brokers license as well as several professional designations, including the coveted CCIM, or Certified Commercial Investment Member, which recognizes experts in commercial real estate investments. I have obtained the designation of RPA or Real Property Administrator from BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) and have been trained to analyze a building in its entirety; providing assistance to owners with building systems design, leasing, management, risk reduction and financial management.
In addition, I also hold the designation of CP/CLA or Certified Paraleagal/Legal Assistant, from the National Association of Legal Assistants.
In 1991, I was named Member of the Year for Southwest Florida's BOMA Chapter.
I attend many hours of continuing education each year, keeping abreast of the ever changing commercial real estate industry. Originally from Huron County Michigan I have been a resident of Southwest Florida since 1968 and have seen the growth and changes and have astute knowledge of the Southwest Florida market.
