Originally from Dallas, Texas I moved to the Naples area in 1987 shortly after receiving my BA degree in History and Political Science studies from Southern Methodist University.
I started my real estate career in September 1987 working onsite sales in development owned properties before obtaining my Florida Broker's Real Estate License and starting my own real estate company in 1995, Southern Realty of Florida.
Complimenting my husband's custom home building company I specialized in new construction and vacant lot/acreage sales.
Partnering with John R. Wood REALTORS® in 2009 I am able to offer my buyers and sellers as your agent my years of knowledge of the local Naples market, high business ethics, and effective negotiating skills.
As an active member of FAR (Florida Association of REALTORS®) and NAR (National Association of REALTORS®) I have obtained several designations and certifications in the Real Estate Industry including GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert), TRC (Transnational Referral Certified), & SFR (Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist).
I am an active member at our local Board, NABOR (Naples Area Board of REALTORS®) participating a various committees such as the Professional Standards Committee, Governmental Issues Committee, & RPAC Committee 2011 Chair, and graduate of NABOR's Class of 2009 Leadership Development Program.
I am 2011 VP Membership for the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Naples on the Gulf Chapter.
Additionally, I am an Approved HUD Selling Broker which allows me to submit bids on behalf of buyers interested in purchasing Government owned Foreclosures.
I enjoy volunteering in various community service organizations and currrently serve on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army, and served as Chair of the 2010 Red Kettle Campaign Kick-Off Event.
I also volunteer as a poll worker for local, state and national elections.
